The best and worst films of 2020 in a horror year for cinemas

Lights, camera and no action.
Like many things in 2020, the year in movies was unlike any before.
Cinemas around the globe temporarily shuttered their popcorn machines, film studios played release date Jenga, and subscriptions to streaming platforms soared.
Hopes were (falsely) pegged on Christopher Nolan’s TENET, touted as “the saviour of cinema”, while other potential big hitters like Greyhound and Mulan landed in our homes for a premiere price.
As big-screen blockbusters mostly took a hiatus, smaller screens gave rise to some truly excellent (and truly terrible) works of cinema captured in a moment of movie history that few will forget.
