Mercedes Team Principal Toto Wolff countered Christian Horners claims of the team favoring Lewis Hamilton over Valtteri Bottas. Horner questioned Mercedes strategy for Bottas during the Belgian Grand Prix and suggested that the team were boosting the British driver.
At Spa, Hamilton led Bottas by just over a second for the majority of the Grand Prix. The Finn struggled to really challenge Hamilton for the lead at any stage of the race. Mercedes couldve gambled on a two stopper, but didnt.
