Thargomindah locals in ‘losing battle’ against flood moved to higher ground

A tiny town in south-west Queensland is bracing for the full impact of floodwater from upstream to hit.

Thargomindah’s 220 residents are being evacuated from their homes and moved to higher ground. 

The nearby Bulloo River is now well above the 1974 flood record.
