‘Thanks for your time’: Walters does a Wayne and storms out of presser over Broncos questions – Fox Sports
Broncos coach Kevin Walters stunned reporters after abruptly walking out of a press conference on Thursday when asked about Payne Haas’ off-field behaviour.
Haas appeared in court on Thursday for intimidating police and offensive language charges. The 21-year-old was handed a two-year good behaviour bond and avoided a conviction, however following the sentencing the extent of Haas foul-mouthed tirade was revealed.
Walters was at an appearance in Brisbane for Friday weeks All Stars Boxing night in Townsville where reporters took the opportunity to ask him about Haas as well as the speculation surrounding the future of Broncos hooker Andrew McCullough.
