Tokyo, Nov 4 (IANS) Research on mice which were sent to the International Space Station (ISS) have helped scientists identify a protein that appears to have a major role in the ageing process, suggests a joint study by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and Tohoku University.
The research showed that the protein, called nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2, or Nrf2, slowed down mice’s part of biological changes similar to ageing, Kyodo News reported on Tuesday.
