Tennys Sandgren has advanced to the second round of the 2021 ATP Great Ocean Road Open, making some noise along the way.
The US star defeated Australian John Patrick-Smith in three sets 6-3 5-7 6-4 and showed some of his trademark spark.
Leading 3-2 in the final set, Sandgren, who made the quarter-finals in Melbourne last year, sent a forehand wide and couldn’t hide his frustration any longer, screaming, “I hate this stupid sport!”
