A teenager has woken up from an 11-month coma to a world transformed by coronavirus.
Joe Flavill was hit by a car on March 1 last year, almost a month before the first lockdown, and was unconscious in a bed at Leicester General Hospital as the virus spread around the globe.
StaffordshireLive reported that Joe, whose accident happened in Derby Road, Burton, was transferred to Adderley Green in Stoke, which provides neurological, physical and cognitive rehabilitation, four months ago.
