Teenager pleads guilty to manslaughter after stabbing friend at Bagot community

A 16-year-old boy has pleaded guilty to manslaughter after stabbing his “close friend” with a knife at the Bagot Aboriginal community in Darwin last year.

Prosecutor Matthew Nathan SC told the court a group of friends were walking around the community in the early hours of May 19 when one friend witnessed the offender stab the victim in the chest.
