Teenager dies in dirt bike racing accident at Mick Doohan Raceway in Brisbane’s north

A 16-year-old boy has died in a dirt bike accident in Brisbane’s north.

The teenager had been racing at the Mick Doohan Raceway in Banyo when he collided with a fence about 1:45pm on Monday.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Queensland Dirt Bike Racing Championship was being held at the venue, which was moved from Sunday due to wet weather.
Queensland Police Regional Duty Officer Laurie Shevlin said it was a “tragic” day.
