Teenager charged with grievous bodily harm after alleged axe attack in Brisbane overnight

A 14-year-old boy has been charged with grievous bodily harm after he allegedly hit a 62-year-old man in the neck with an axe outside a Woolworths store in Brisbane overnight.
The incident happened at Barrett Street in Bracken Ridge at about 9:00pm on Friday after an argument broke out between the two.
Police will allege the boy went to a car and grabbed a small axe which he used to hit the man with.
The 62-year-old man was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and treated for injuries to his neck and ear.
