Teen charged with murder after couple struck by alleged stolen car in Brisbane’s Alexandra Hills
A 17-year-old boy has been charged with two counts of murder after allegedly hitting two pedestrians who were walking their dog in Brisbane’s bayside.
The teenager is accused of striking the 31-year-old woman, who was pregnant, and the 37-year-old man as they crossed an intersection in Alexandra Hills just before 5:30pm yesterday.
Police said the boy had stolen a 4WD and had earlier deliberately collided with another car at an intersection.
It is understood he then ran a red light, crashed into an oncoming truck and then rolled onto the pedestrians.
With just minor injuries, the boy then allegedly ran from the scene.
He was arrested nearby after allegedly trying to steal another car.
