Teen badly burnt as battery sparks boat fire

Emergency crews arrived on scene at a private residence at Kirrama Court, Bushland Beach near Townsville, just after 8.15pm Thursday. A Queensland Fire and Emergency spokeswoman confirmed that the fire from the battery spread to a boat.Two teenage boys, one who sustained significant burns to his face, arms, chest, abdomen and back, were taken to Townsville Hospital.
