Overmann booked his ticket to a Group 1 race with a win at Rosehill that had the Team Hawkes polish written all over it.
The Hinchinbrook gelding was earmarked early as a horse the team thought would race at the highest level but he needed some help to get there.
“He’s got a lot of upside and he’s going to be a nice horse,” co-trainer Michael Hawkes said.
“He’s getting better. It’s only his fourth start and he’s still learning. He’s a baby and as his journey goes on in time and distance I think…
