It has been revealed energy giant Viva has its hand out for taxpayer support, one day after it claimed Victoria’s coronavirus lockdown could force its Geelong refinery to close.
While company bosses have criticised Victoria’s roadmap out of lockdown, they are also asking for federal government help to avoid a full shutdown.
Canberra is reportedly working on a support package for the sector.
