Tasmanian artist Adam Taylor bringing the past back to life with colourised photos
As a child, artist Adam Taylor was often drawn to an old book of photographs belonging to his grandfather.
“I remember looking at it and thinking, ‘wow that’s what Hobart used to look like’,” he said.
The wonder he felt did not diminish and as an adult he found a new way to connect with the images, by colourising them.

“I think what really triggered it was when COVID happened this year, it actually led me to have a tinker around.”
