Tasmania to make masks mandatory at events of 1,000 people or more

Masks will be mandatory in Tasmania at large events from next Friday, Premier Peter Gutwein has announced.

Mr Gutwein said the order would apply to both indoor and outdoor events with 1,000 or more attendees, and would come into effect from a minute past midnight next Friday.
