Taliban leader expected in Kabul as evacuation efforts from Afghanistan gather pace

More than 2,200 diplomats and other civilians have been evacuated from Afghanistan on military flights, a Western security official has said, as the Taliban prepare to welcome co-founder Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar to Kabul.
