Taliban hold press conference to provide assurances, as Afghanistan’s First Vice-President stakes claim to the presidency

The Taliban have made a string of assurances to Afghans and the world, including that there will be no revenge attacks on anyone who worked or fought with the US, during the first press conference since its rapid advance on the Afghan capital of Kabul.
