Taliban fighters storm capital of north-western Afghan province, briefly take over police headquarters

Regional officials in northern Afghanistan say they have recaptured government buildings in a provincial capital after Taliban fighters stormed it overnight, taking over the police headquarters prompting prisoners to break out of the city’s prison.
