Taliban edge closer to Afghanistan capital Kabul, launch attacks on key northern city of Mazar-i-Sharif

The Taliban has seized another province just south of Afghanistan’s capital and launched a multi-pronged assault on the major city of Mazar-i-Sharif in the north.
