Tale of price woe for salmon farmer Huon – The Australian Financial Review
Tasmania-based Huon has been hit hard by fall in prices, fire, fish escapes and stealing allegations at its processing plant.

Tasmania-based Huon said the price fall, high freight cost, global economic uncertainty and a forecast increase in global supply would hit its full-year earnings.
It expects full-year EBITDA to be substantially lower than last years $47.3 million.
Huon also flagged a hefty impairment and write down on the carrying value of assets based on recent business performance and outlook, combined with the companys market capitalisation trading below book value.
