NSW Health has advised thousands of residents to watch for symptoms despite no official discovery of locally acquired cases.

NSW Health is calling on thousands of northwest Sydney residents to watch for COVID-19 symptoms and get tested if they develop.
The alert comes after fragments of the virus were detected in samples collected on November 29 from a sewage treatment plant in Riverstone.
The sewerage system drains parts of Riverstone, Vineyard, Marsden Park, Shanes Park, Quakers Hill, Oakville, Box Hill, The Ponds, Rouse Hill, Nelson, Schofields and Colebee.
