Swimmer drowns at Sunshine Coast beach
A person has died after being pulled from the surf by lifeguards at a Sunshine Coast beach.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said the person was pulled from the water by lifeguards at 10.30am on Sunday morning at the beach at Kingfisher Drive at Peregian Beach.
The swimmer, whose age and gender is yet to be given, was in a critical condition and died at the scene.
