One of the Indigenous teenagers who went into the Swan River while running from police in 2018 has told an inquest into the drowning deaths of two of his friends how he saw them go under.

The 18-year-old, known as Child N, struggled to contain his emotions while giving evidence on the second day of an inquiry into the deaths of 16-year-old Master Drage and 17-year-old Master Simpson.
