Suspected cases of Covid-19 recorded by GPs at the peak of the pandemic were three times higher than the official toll, according to new research.
The study, led by the Queen Mary University in London, found that doctors recorded 8,985 suspected cases between February 14 and April 30 – triple the number of people found positive with coronavirus at test centres over the same period.
