Supermarket worker busted using spit to clean baskets – 7NEWS.com.au

A shopper says she was disgusted after witnessing what appeared to be a supermarket worker at a grocery store using spit to clean baskets.
As you can see in the video above the man appears to spit on a towel and then wipe down the bright green baskets.
The video was obtained by Canadas City News.
The witness, Marta Casimiro told the news outlet I couldnt believe that. I was in shockI feel sick
Marta called the manager of the FreshCo store but she didnt hear back for a number of days but was eventually told that the cleaner had been suspended.
In a statement from FreshCo the spokesperson said, It is completely against the standards we work so hard to achieve in our stores each day. The health and safety of our customers and teammates is our top priority that has never been more true than right now, through the COVID-19 pandemic.
