Super-spreaders could be key to controlling COVID-19 – Sydney Morning Herald
Mounting evidence suggests the vast majority of coronavirus cases may be spread by as little as 10 per cent or fewer of those infected..
“Were concerned that weve created a monster. ‘R’ does not tell us what we need to know to manage this,” Mark Woolhouse, an infectious-diseases expert at the University of Edinburgh, told the journal, Nature.
The data suggests that if we can find those so-called super-spreaders, we may be able to control the infection much more efficiently.
