Only a burning desire to wear the silver fern again kept former All Blacks hooker Nathan Harris from hanging up the boots this year in the wake of some pretty dark times with injury.
The 29-year-old, who played 20 tests between 2014 and 2018, knows he has a long list of quality rakes now in front of him, but his dream of playing for New Zealand again at least remains a possibility, thanks to a courageous comeback with the Chiefs in the 2021 Super Rugby season.
