The Melbourne side will fly to Sydney and leave for Queenstown on Saturday, but contigency plans have also been drawn up to play the game in Sydney.
Highlanders chief executive Roger Clark is really confident Sundays home game against the Rebels will go ahead in Queenstown with the Australian Super Rugby side looking to fly out from Sydney after a new coronavirus outbreak in Melbourne.
The Rebels were due to land in Queenstown on Friday morning ahead of Sunday’s match, but will now head to Sydney later today and will fly to New Zealand on Saturday.
