Super Rugby AU: Ruthless Melbourne Rebels crush winless NSW Waratahs as Matt To’omua scores wonder try – Wide World of Sports
Skipper’s try despite ‘reverse claustrophobia’
He was doing it with the boot and now Rebels captain Matt To’omua has scored a stunning individual try to give the home side a whopping 23-0 halftime advantage.
To’omua went on a mazy run near halfway, threw a big dummy to fool NSW then regathered a chip and chase for a special five pointer.
“Oh no way Matty! That is outstanding from To’omua,” Sean Maloney said on Stan Sport.
“He knows that was good, he knows that is going to sit at the top of highlight reels.”
Drew Mitchell also lavished praise.
