A professional bodybuilder struck down by Covid-19 has spoken out to reinforce the message that the virus can leave anyone seriously ill.
Former Mr Britain Stuart Core, aged 41, thought the illness only affected the elderly and those in poor health.
But super-fit Stuart, who owns Corefitness Gym in Plymouth, was shocked to find himself at Derriford Hospital on a ventilator.
He said: “I was in hospital for seven days. It was just an eye-opener, it was really scary.
