Super Bowl ads and half-time show: The Weeknd set to perform – live – The Guardian
Surrounding the big game will be a host of big ads, a string of new movie trailers and a half-time performance from The Weeknd

Just to heighten your expectations a little more, its been reported that The Weeknd has put $7m of his own cash into tonights medley to make this halftime show be what he envisioned.
Even though its a huge undertaking, half-time performers dont actually get paid to appear but they do often see a huge rise in sales. For example, even though his performance was largely panned, Justin Timberlakes music shot up 534% in popularity as a result.
So its perhaps a wise investment.
