Sunrise COVID update as testing clinics in Brisbane overwhelmed by influx of Queenslanders
Thousands of Queenslanders have answered a call to be tested for coronavirus following a health scare.
A confirmed case of coronavirus linked to the Avalon cluster crossed the border last week when the outbreak was in its infancy.
They are not believed to have passed on the virus to anyone.
But the scare, combined with the discovery of coronavirus fragments in wastewater right across the state, prompted a plea for testing.
Queues at clinics in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast snaked around corners…
