The much-loved Subzero, a fan favourite during and after his illustrious career, has died 28 years after the famous victory at Flemington.
Legendary race horse Subzero, the winner of the 1992 Melbourne Cup, has died of heart failure.
- Subzero was trained by Lee Freedman and ridden by Greg Hall when it won the 1992 Melbourne Cup
- He was popular with the public and served as a racing ambassador and clerk of the course following its career
