Study Shows COVID-19 May Cause Brain Aging – ClickLancashire

The findings revealed that patients with untreated vitamin D deficiency were nearly twice as likely to test positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, compared to patients who were not deficient in the vitamin.
“We found that COVID-19 patients with lower serum vitamin D levels had raised serum ferritin and D-dimer levels, which are markers of this hyperinflammatory response”.
