Stuck between a croc and hard place – two cling to esky after their boat sinks in crocodile infested waters.
Yesterday morning, an ABF Patrol Aircraft-Dash 8 was sent to investigate a distress beacon activation
On arrival, the Dash 8 crew sighted two persons in the water clinging to an esky, after their boat had sunk. The ABF Dash 8 aircraft made contact with the crew of a nearby recreational vessel to confirm that they were able to rescue the persons in distress. The two relieved persons were pulled from the water and taken to Dundee Beach for medical attention – and the Dash 8 resumed its surveillance activity in northern Australia.
