‘Stolen car used to run border’, driver flees on foot

It is alleged the man crossed into an oncoming traffic lane at the COVID-19 border checkpoint in an effort to bypass police. The car then travelled north along the New England Highway before being dumped on Junabee Rd, east of Warwick about 12.30pm“It was semi-crashed and the driver fled on foot,” a Queensland Police Service spokesman said.
