Two people who saw ‘pure’ image back judge’s call to declare a dead-heat

Robert Cram, the steward in charge of Saturday’s Caulfield meeting, has publicly backed the decision of judge Paul Egan to declare the final race a dead-heat.
Defibrillate and Hang Man were declared joint winners after hitting the line locked together in the John Moule Handicap (1800m).
Egan took several minutes to arrive at a decision and some images subsequently displayed on social media indicated there might have been a margin in favour of $2 favourite Defibrillate, but Cram said those photos…
