State prepares for AstraZeneca vaccine as miner tests positive

Queensland Health has vaccinated 6534 people with the Pfizer vaccine, including 1125 in the past 24 hours.
Two coronavirus vaccines were approved for use in Australia: the Pfizer vaccine, which was being administered to priority groups, and the AstraZeneca vaccine, expected to be used for most of the population.
Ms D’Ath said the state would begin to inoculate people with AstraZeneca “in the next week or two”.
