Veteran defender Nathan Brown has confirmed his retirement from AFL in an incredibly touching letter to his St Kilda teammates that was shared on the club’s website.

Brown departed the clubs Noosa hub in order to return to his family in Victoria, with the 31-year-old having not made a senior appearance this campaign.
The 31-year-old played 53 times for the Saints since signing in November 2013, having made 130 appearances for Collingwood after being drafted in 2006.
