Spotify Launches a Paid Subscription Platform for Podcasters – PCMag
Creators can earn money by hosting ‘subscriber-only’ episodes.

Spotify’s new subscription podcast platform finally lets creators charge for content. The feature, rolling out now in the US, allows hosts to mark episodes as “subscriber-only” on and off Spotify.
Podcasters can take advantage of a two-year grace period, during which 100% of subscriber revenues (excluding payment transaction fees) goes directly to the creator. Starting in 2023, Spotify plans to introduce a 5% fee for access to the tool.
