Spieth’s act of golfing wizardry in wild recovery shot – Fox Sports
Jordan Spieth was up to his old tricks on Friday (AEDT) when he played a miraculous recovery shot on his way to a dramatic tie with Matthew Wolff at the WGC Match…
Spieths first tee shot of the day was an ugly one; a snap-hook that didnt even travel 200 yards, and came to rest in the rough with a tree obscuring his line to the pin.
Most players would have punched out to the fairway, but Spieth isnt one of the most imaginative golfers, and best shot-makers, for nothing.
Instead, he punched out a 200-yard, low-draw that rode the contours of the fairway, rolled onto the green and continued to roll until it rested just 11 feet from the cup.
