This year her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh have announced that they plan on having a “quiet Christmas” alone in Windsor together for the first time in 32 years.
This means that there will be no big Christmas Eve dinner with the extended royal family, no highly anticipated family walk to the church on Christmas Day and no bon bon cracking over a big family dinner.
