Spain, the pandemic’s seventh-worst hit country, has passed three million coronavirus cases, although new infections have been declining since January.

In Spain, which has been hit hard by the pandemic, the number of coronavirus infections has broken through the three million mark.
The number of confirmed infections rose by 16,402 within 24 hours, the health ministry said on Tuesday.
Only the United States, India, Brazil, Britain, Russia and France have reported more infections than Spain.
With 766 new deaths within 24 hours, the highest figure since April was also recorded. In total, more than 63,000 citizens in Spain have died of COVID-19.
