The Centauri constellation contains the closest star to the Sun. It is 4.2 light years from Earth and cannot be seen with the naked eye. If we sent a probe it would take more than 20,000 years to get there. In the constellation is the star Proxima Centauri with an orbiting planet Proxima Centauri b. The planet has conditions which could make it suitable for life as we know it. It has a suitable temperature range, being not too hot, and not too cold.
