Up to 20 fast-moving meteors, an hour should be visible
The Orionid meteor shower is created by the stream of debris left behind by Halleys comet each year.
The spectacular show will peak on October 21 but experts believe it could be visible for a week on either side of that.
The American Meteor Society says up to 20 Orionid meteors per hour should be visible from rural locations.
