South Sydney icon George Piggins rushed to hospital – Wide World of Sports
Famously led march to reinstate Rabbitohs into NRL

South Sydney legend George Piggins has been rushed to hospital and remains in intensive care.
Piggins was taken to Sydney’s Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Camperdown around 3.30am early Wednesday morning and remains in a serious but stable condition.
The 75-year-old is believed to be suffering from a severe infection, according to Fox Sports.
The iconic South Sydney hooker led the charge for the Rabbitohs to be reinstated into the NRL after the club were kicked out of the competition in 2000.
