Skywatchers in Columbia, South Carolina, witnessed the launch of SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft early on Friday, April 23. Footage taken by Jared Leierer shows the spacecraft’s vapor trails as it carried four NASA astronauts to the International Space Station. Friday’s launch marked the start of a second six-month operational crew mission, according to SpaceX. After the stay, the crew is scheduled to return from the space station by October 31.
