South Australian Police search for firearm after 49-year-old man shot dead at Virginia
A 49-year-old man has been shot and killed at Virginia, in Adelaide’s northern suburbs.
Key points:
- Police were called to Brady Street in Virginia just before 3am
- An area has been cordoned off and STAR Group officers called in
- Police have warned members of the public to stay away from the area
Police responded to calls about shots being fired in the area just before 3am today.
Detective Inspector Mark Gallagher said officers found a 49-year-old man dead when they arrived at the Brady Street address.
“All indications are that he has been shot,” he said.
Police are still searching for the firearm used in the shooting and no-one has been arrested.
