South Australia to relax coronavirus border restrictions for regional NSW travellers

South Australia will relax one of its current coronavirus border restrictions to allow travellers from regional New South Wales back into the state, authorities have announced.

Premier Steven Marshall said that from midnight tonight, travellers from outside the high community transmission zones of Greater Sydney, the Central Coast, Wollongong and the Blue Mountains will be able to enter SA.

Currently, NSW residents outside a 100-kilometre buffer zone are banned from entering SA.

Regional and rural arrivals will still need to be tested on days one, five and twelve, but will not have to quarantine.

“We have not wanted to keep restrictions in place for one day longer than we need to,” he said.
